Aligners for Kids
Crooked or misaligned teeth in children don't have to mean years of uncomfortable metal braces. Clear aligners offer a gentle, nearly invisible path to a straighter smile — and at Care & Cure, Dr. Bhuvanesswari tailors aligner treatment to your child's specific dental needs and your family's budget.

What's Included
Treatments & procedures
Click any treatment to see when it's recommended. Every option is explained clearly before we proceed.
Orthodontic Assessment
A full orthodontic evaluation of the teeth, bite and jaw development to determine whether aligners are clinically appropriate, what correction is needed, and when treatment should begin.
Digital Treatment Planning
A personalised aligner sequence is planned digitally based on the child's clinical records. The planned tooth movement at each stage is visualised before any aligner is fabricated.
Aligner Fitting & Patient Education
Custom-made clear aligner trays are fitted. Small tooth-coloured attachments may be bonded to assist specific tooth movements. The child receives clear instructions on wear time, care and hygiene.
Progress Reviews
Appointments every 6–8 weeks to assess tooth movement, check aligner wear compliance and transition to the next stage. Refinements to the plan are made if needed.
Retention Phase
On completion of aligner treatment, a retainer — removable or fixed — is placed to hold the corrected tooth position. Without retention, teeth can drift back toward their original position.
Signs your child may need this treatment
- Crowded or overlapping teeth
- Visible gaps between teeth
- Overbite, underbite or crossbite
- Early baby tooth loss that has caused neighbouring teeth to shift
- Your child is self-conscious about misaligned teeth
- The dentist has recommended orthodontic assessment
Why this treatment matters
Misaligned teeth are more than a cosmetic concern. Crooked teeth are harder to clean, increasing the risk of cavities and gum disease. Bite problems can affect chewing, speech and jaw development. Addressing alignment issues during childhood — while the jaw is still growing — often leads to simpler, faster and more effective treatment than waiting until adulthood.
How we keep your child comfortable
Aligners are smooth, custom-fitted and comfortable to wear. Unlike braces, there are no wires or brackets to cause irritation. Aligners are removable — your child can eat, brush and attend special occasions without them. Most children adapt to wearing aligners within a few days.
What to expect during treatment
